Started working on Northern Ohio Basement Waterproofing's Visual Design for the website after discovering what information would be needed for their services.
This is my first stab at any page for NOBW- the spacing is loose on purpose. I started a text file with a bulleted list of info that needed to be on the page, then sketched on a series of index cards to feel out the hierarchy and order of the content. After that, I opened photoshop and recreated my sketches with just Helvetica, and black boxes on a white page. I made a color palette and fonts were already picked out, so I literally just color picked from the color palette and updated the fonts.
The danger of getting too precise here is that some the content is still being written by NOBW. While this amount of information was discussed during our meetings, this is a work in progress and I don't want to spend too much time figuring out the spacing and nity-gritty details to then have to redesign things.
I haven't shown this to NOBW since we don't have the content yet, but writing has been a long process and wanted to get a rough layout done in the meantime. Once the content is nailed down, I will return to this and make the final updates/adjustments.
